August and September
It looks like we did lots of "artsy" stuff at the end of the summer with some face painting thrown in!

Back in time...Birthday Party
We skipped a lot of good stuff to announce Jack's birth, so time to go back in time and catch up, starting with my niece's birthday party in August. It was perfect weather and there was a very talented clown/magician/face painter there.
Here is the birthday girl getting her face painted and the final product

The kids were enjoying the beautiful evening at my brother's house. Adele is sitting on her cousin's lap about to freak out about the little boy's green face!

And finally, here is my dad getting his face painted. I wish I had a better picture; it was really a work of art!

Baby Jack is Here!!!
Jack Henry arrived on Thursday 9/24 at 12:48 pm. He weighed 7 pounds 6 ounces at birth, was 20.5 inches, and came into the world with a full head of brown hair! He is a mellow little guy and we love having him around. His big sister is doing really well and seems to like "Baby Jack" so far. He has a darling, sweet little face to match his disposition. As you can imagine, there will be a lot more pictures in the posts to come!

Family Potluck and Campfire Sing-a-long
One of the traditions of the big family reunion camping trip is a potluck dinner and campfire sing-a-long on Friday night. We all end up camping in different sites around the campground, so this is a great way to get everyone together in one place.
Here we all are before dinner

Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Rulon
Singing at dusk. My cousin Cathy plays the guitar while everyone sings.

Adele enjoying the campfire and dancing to the music.
