Adele's Easter

Adele in her new hat and with her new bunny from her Cleveland cousins. I think she liked them!

Grandma's hand is delicious.

Yes, she was all dressed up in an adorable green dress for Easter. Maybe next year she'll get a feather boa like her cousins! (see below)

A wonderful Easter

We had a wonderful Easter at Steve & Kathryn's house. Some of Jeff's family joined my family and Kathryn's family to celebrate. The food was outstanding (I should have taken a picture!) and the company was better.

The girls got some new Easter finery: traditional easter hats and, what every girl needs on easter, pink feather boas.

Here the girls watch Geoffrey play with the kitten.
Notice the band-aid......score one for the kitten earlier in the day!
Back at our house, Adele enjoys a taste of Aunt Cheryl's sweater. Tasty!

Here Adele and Geoffrey enjoy some cousin time. Aaaah.
Dean, Cheryl and Geoffrey had to return home on Monday. It was so nice to spend some time together.

Breckenridge Ski Trip 2008

Dean (Jeff's brother), Cheryl (Dean's wife), and Geoffrey (Jeff's sister's son) came in late last night for a ski trip in Breckenridge. Jeff drove up and met them for a day on the slopes.

Geoffrey learned to snowboard the last time he came out in 2006. Look at him go now!!

Everyone had a great day!

Sitting Up

She seems kind of shocked that she can sit up now. To tell you the truth, so am I!

Winter Walks

We've been taking Adele for walks in a baby jogger stroller on the weekends. Even though it is cold, the clear rain/wind cover that goes over it, along with her snowsuit, keeps her warm as can be. Thank you Aunt Diana for Adele's new ride. We all LOVE it.

In the driveway getting ready to go.
Headed down the driveway
On the road
On Sunday we were able to get her to wear her baby sunglasses. She didn't seem to mind them at all. She also wore her new hat from Aunt Cheryl and Uncle Dean. What a nice hat! I'm jealous.

She makes glamour seem easy!

I love this outfit

I think this outfit is worthy of its own post. (Thank you Laura and Avery!)

A Day at the Office

Adele finally made it to Jeff's office for a visit. Here she is reviewing some Jefferson County routine documents.
His desk made a fine changing table!

A walk in the park

Would your children be disturbed by these?

I'm ready for my closeup....

Fun with Dad

She's been dying to chomp on Jeff's finger for a week now. She finally got her chance today. I hope it was everything she thought it would be!
After sampling his finger, she decided to find out what his face felt like. She looks fascinated!

She's wearing red cargo pants in that picture. How cute is that???

Baby in a Sweater

I guess I didn't realize that there isn't much out there cuter than a baby in a cardigan sweater. Now I know.

My newest "pet"

(I recommend clicking on the image to see a little better)

I was at home with Adele on Friday when something caught my eye. There, walking RIGHT in front of the french doors was a bobcat. At first I panicked, and then I had the good sense to grab the camera and run out the front door.

The bobcat was on its way somewhere, but I called out to her (I don't know the gender, but I think it was a "she") and she stopped to check me out. That's when I started talking to her and she seemed to enjoy all the flattering things I was saying. She tried to stalk something, but that didn't really work out, so she sat down next to a stump and just hung out..... for a while. I kept running in to check on Adele and then would come back out. She'd turn around, look at me, and then just go back to what she was doing. I'd talk to her and she seemed to think that was just fine. She was there for about 20 minutes. It was remarkable.

See how close she was to our french doors?!!!

Happy Birthday Adele!

Saturday was Adele's 4-month birthday. She is such a joy. She enjoyed meeting Dave and Gloria and especially flirting with Dave.

The Leisured Class

Carter has wasted no time making himself at home...really at home. He clearly thinks that he should be the baby.

Jeff came home to find him sleeping in Adele's bouncy seat.

And here he is in the "moses" basket on top of all her clean blankets.

I imagine he's working his way to her crib next!
