It's still snowing

It's still snowing up here, just about every night this week in fact. Last night we had a bear visitor. We didn't actually see it, just the tracks.

First Mother's Day!

We went to my parents' house for my first Mother's Day. It was a gorgeous afternoon.

Here Auntie Di feeds Adele.

Toys!

Toys are becoming a big part of Adele's life these days. Here she is in the "Entertainer" that has been enjoyed be at least two of her cousins. She's all business when you put her in this thing. Playing can be pretty serious you know!

Here she is sampling the tail of her hippo. Yum.

First Solids

Adele had her first taste of "real" food a couple weeks ago. We started off with rice cereal. Here's her very first bite.

She liked it. Here's the second bite!
She really seems to enjoy her rice cereal most of the time and eats more than I might have expected. One thing is certain: it is always messy!

Milestones

We have a few milestones to celebrate this week. First, Adele turned 5 months old on Tuesday. She gets funner and funner each day. Second, she rolled over by herself for the first time today from her back to her front. Unfortunately for her, she can't roll back!

And finally, she got a new high chair........even though she already had a perfectly good high chair that was given to us. Okay, I'll admit, I was initially seduced by the removable tray that goes into the dishwasher, but I think it was the 6 reclining positions and the asian-inspired fabric design that got the best of me. Two clicks on amazon and two days later the high chair was mine.....I mean Adele's.

Adele's Easter

Adele in her new hat and with her new bunny from her Cleveland cousins. I think she liked them!

Grandma's hand is delicious.

Yes, she was all dressed up in an adorable green dress for Easter. Maybe next year she'll get a feather boa like her cousins! (see below)
