Puddles!

Puddles are just the best thing (unless you are the one who does the laundry). And to think, I was so close to buying a little water/sand table. What was I thinking?






My neighbor's nephew came for a short visit. It didn't take him long to figure out how to throw rocks in the puddle. Between the two of them, I thought they might fill it up!

Adele loves spaghetti! Just to prove it, she decided to finish off Daddy's plate

She loves climbing on rocks; she's just drawn to them. After a couple of times up, she was able to run up it, AND DOWN, without using her hands.

Father's Day

We celebrated Father's Day at our house with a hike followed by lunch. The weather was much cooler than anticipated, but actually, it was perfect!

On the way to the meadow, Adele wanted to hold Sierra's hand. Sierra finally had to pull away when she thought her arm was going to fall off!

Beau found a bone on the way!

Beau and Sophie were convinced that they had found Bear or Mountain Lion Poop!

Adele was quite happy to hold Sierra's hand and/or Grandpa's hand as we walked. She is far less accommodating when it comes to holding mommy and daddy's hand, however.

The Meadow

We've been having fun hiking to a nearby meadow and letting Adele out to walk. One Saturday morning a couple of weeks ago, the weather was just absolutely perfect for playing in the grass. To see how adorably joyful Adele is, click on the top picture to enlarge it. She was having a blast!

The bear

Last year we had a post about a bear visitor and look, here we are again with a bear post. I guess it's officially an annual event. This little bear looks young and kind of scrawny. Luckily he didn't find anything good at our house, so hopefully he won't be back. Ironically, Adele and I were upstairs probably reading her most favorite book right now, We're Going on a Bear Hunt. She makes a mean bear growl!

May 2009

Here's Adele with her cousin Beau on Mother's Day. She decided that she adored him that day and Beau totally catered to her.

This is Adele's latest obsession: the sink. At first I tried to steer her away to other activities, but it only made the sink that much more appealing.


Adele had a little cold in May. Thank goodness nurse daddy was there.

My cousin's college graduation party. Her older cousins kept a close watch on her the whole time, which we sure appreciated!
